Mobisol Inaugurates Mobisol Akademie in Arusha

Mobisol launched the Mobisol Akademie, a Tanzania-wide training institution for Mobisol sales agents and technical staff, with a grand opening ceremony on May 3rd at the Akademie’s premises at the NaneNane grounds in Njiro, Arusha.

The Mobisol Akademie was created by Mobisol in order to train and equip their technicians and sales agents with the optimal knowledge and tools to effectively service Mobisol’s customers and to represent Mobisol as a leader in the sustainable energy industry in Tanzania. The training is based on high international standards of marketing and technical education and is carried out by carefully selected and trained local teaching staff.

After having set up the Mobisol Akademie in Nyamata (Rwanda) earlier this year, the Akademie in Arusha, Tanzania, is the second Mobisol training institution to be initiated. Based on the educational concept developed in Germany, potential staff receives a tailored training. When the training, the subsequent examination and the trial period are successfully completed, new staff will be certified in their respective professions. The Akademie ensures that the quality of all Mobisol products and services is guaranteed and that all Mobisol staff members are well trained.

The opening ceremony commenced with speeches from Allan Demello, Mobisol’s managing director, and the head project manager of the Mobisol Akademie setup team Dr. Janina Messerschmidt. After the subsequent celebratory ribbon cutting ceremony all staff members and guests were invited to join in for snacks and drinks. This was also an opportunity for the media and guests to field questions to the Mobisol team and tour the facilities.

“With the Mobisol Akademie comes a training facility that guarantees the highest standards of education in terms of marketing, customer communication, IT, solar electronics installations and general knowledge of solar equipment and the benefits of sustainable electrification. This way, Mobisol ensures a truly comprehensive and diligent customer service”, Dr Messerschmidt stated at the opening ceremony.

Mr Demello added: “At Mobisol, we are profoundly convinced that off-grid electrification will play a very prominent role in electrifying African households. This year alone, we will provide solar power to more than 10,000 homes in Tanzania. In order to meet the increasing demand in our high-tech products while guaranteeing the highest standard of service possible, we need a growing number of well-educated service personnel – and the Mobisol Akademie will ensure exactly this.”
